Redwood City, California based startup Aster Data Systems, has raised $12 million in a round of funding. The round was led by JAFCO Ventures and was participated by current investors including Sequoia Capital, Cambrian Ventures and First Round Capital. The startup is an innovator in high performance analytical databases. Founded in 2005, the company had earlier raised $10 million.
