I came across this interesting post that talked about people who think they are too unattractive for Facebook. To be honest I had no clue about what the post was about and thought it is highlighting users who quit social network for they can’t make new friends. Thankfully it wasn’t and rather pointed an interested aspect.
I have been noticing this for quite some time and it is very true, many people don’t actually have their own picture on their profile. I am one of them for now, but mine is simply to promote the wonderful image of the my own watch. Why is it that people wont do that? They would have not a single picture of their own. Alright I understand it is something to with their own privacy but hey, the same people would flood their albums with pictures of their friends, relatives, etc. Do they really think they are not pretty enough for putting up their picture on the social network?
The worst part, these folks would use pictures of cartoon and worse still images of Hollywood actors/actresses. Why would anyone do that? To be considered cool or just all those eyes looking at those pictures and drooling? I am not sure what exactly is the psychology behind this but I would earnestly request these people to be real and add more reality to their Facebook existence.
