We had reported about Apple coming out with futuristic design technology code named ‘Brick’ and that supposedly builds a MacBook out of a single brick of aluminium. The technology uses lasers and water jets for the design purpose and can possibly bring down the cost of MacBooks.
We haven’t received any confirmation in this regard from Apple and with 14’th October, the official date set for its launch we are restless as to what Apple actually has in store. A Chinese Website reportedly somehow got its eyes at the Brick MacBook (this can be a rumor).
The design (from what is visible) is really curvy or unique and appears more like the traditional MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. The picture just shows a fraction of the so-call MacBook Brick and its hard to tell whether it has been carved out of a single block of aluminium. Apart from that the size somewhat appears to be much thinner and the top is a separate plastic sheet. I wonder what the entire thing looks like and if one of these pictures had to be taken why couldn’t the person slide the camera up to grab the whole. To sum up, I don’t see much to add credit to the rumor and given that it’s associated with Apple, I have all odds against it. Maybe there is something in the making and a product all ready to jump out, perhaps Steve Jobs has a plan to attack the loyal MacBook lovers with the surprise of their life. That will be seen as time heads on.
There is one thing that I find impossible to digest and it’s associated with Apple setting up a new plant. Why would Apple go for this, especially at times like these where stock shares crumble?
