Appirio, a company that provides custom application development and integration related services leveraging the Salesforce CRM and Apex on demand platform, has released Google Gadgets for Salesforce that allow users to view and access their Salesforce information directly on their Google Personalized Homepage. The company has developed widgets to display Accounts, Opportunities, Contacts, Cases and Tasks.
Opportunity Knocks shows the most recently updated opportunities in the business in an always-on view to Sales executives. Users can filter the view by amount, go to details and from their onwards jump directly into salesforce.com for more detailed information.
Case Watcher shows the open cases or unresolved user complaints. Support engineers could use it to scan all the open cases quickly and go to salesforce for more details. The default view shows severe and new issues on top.
Sales Sleuth is the widget for the sales guys. Sales representatives could use it to quickly search for accounts, contacts, opportunities, cases or tasks.
Task Watcher is a task management widget that displays the summary of all open tasks. Users could view information by priority, task creation date, task due date, or last modified date and make necessary changes.
Appirio has also released already released these widgets for Yahoo widgets. The widgets are a really good use of the APIs provided by both Salesforce and Google IG and is yet another example of what others could do for you by using your API’s.
