There is more coming from MySpace as the once booming social network plans to launch its own webmail. The social network already had messaging options but it plans to extend its service by giving users their own @myspace address. With over 130 million users around the world and 70 million in the U.S alone, if this gets successful by even a fraction, it will make MySpace one of the top email service providers. The plan has been in works for quite some time, like Yahoo’s home page redesign and though this isn’t going to allure the users who already have email accounts at multiple services (Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc) it might be of interest for those in entertainment.
