Another day another exec packs bags to leave Google. The problem is not with the drain but that Google continues to bleed vastly experienced employees. The current employee to wave goodbye is Derek Collison who had been a part of Google’s team since 2004 and currently held the position of Technical Director. Derek has made a hop to VMware, where he will team with his ex-colleague, Mark Lucovsky. While this will not bring Google down on its knees as it has plenty of brains still, it will definitely be glad to have Eric Schmidt reporting on full time duty.
