Free Apps Only may very well be the reason why the Android Market isn’t flooded with many apps like the App Store, but chances are that things will change soon. Developers have been mailed by the Android team assuring them that the Market will soon be supporting paid apps early next year. The initial support for paid apps will come to U.S and the UK to bee followed Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, France and Netherlands. It will be interesting to see how the Android Market stands up against the App Store once it begins supporting paid apps. An interesting thing here is unlike the App Store that keeps 30% of the revenue, the Android Market wont be keeping any bit for itself, rather the 30% of earned revenues will go billing settlements and carriers.

I am very concern about the status of Google Android Markets. It is impossible to build a real business around developing application for Android if the developers are not keep more in the loop of when they might be able to sell their products.
The free software model is failing (see WSJ article). You always get what you pay for in the long run.

Although the apps will start to be paid for, I am sure that peaple will support the market. There are of course the diffrent views on this change. But from this G1 user, thanks for apps renderd by the market, and the creators.
