We have talked quite a lot about China banning many sites for one reason or another, be it Plurk, Twitter, etc. However those sites which have accessibility in the region have to obey strict censorship rules. The images you see above are of a search performed on Google (images) for Tiananmen massacre and you can see the difference in the results. Google.com gives more than 44,000 results compared to only 11 that appear on Google.cn . From those results it’s evident that the country wants to control the information available to its people. Don’t quite see how successful it’s going to be given that there is bulk of uncensored information available right outside its borders.
