When everyone’s out opening their app stores or market places, Palm has decided to strap its laces and do the same. The store powered in part by PocketGear, which provides around 50,000 apps for the smartphones will be offering applications for the Palm OS and Windows Mobile. The store on launch has already seen more than a thousand developers flood the store with their apps. The developers get a 50% share from the sales of each app while the remainder goes to other parties. Definitely lower compared to the 70% share developers get from sales at the App Store, but that wont hurt much.
