Well that is what he says. I am not sure as to why exactly he has been given this honor?

The guy exploited the SSH vulnerability and brought it to Apple’s attention, but wasn’t it immoral of him to let go of it and have it infest the devices? Alright I am being too ethical about it and siding with those who are against his actions. Just think of it, had he gone up to Apple, brought this under their consideration, he wouldn’t have got a dime bit of attention, to be honest. That one bad act has at least got him a job where he can better utilize his talent for something more useful and less threatening!
