AMD‘s employees must be cursing the chip manufacturer for laying off as many as 1,100 of its workforce. It also took this as an opportunity to temporarily cut the pays of each employee. The axe fell not just on workers but both CEO, Dirk Meyer and chairman Hector Ruiz saw their pays reduced by 20%. I bet the team must have been waiting for such announcement.
