Amazon UK is indicating that the OLPC Give 1 Get 1 free plan, that it lovingly embraced might be in danger of a cancellation due to Amazon’s 30 day shipment policy. Apparently people who have jumped in on the plan are in the final days of this waiting period and there is still no chance of getting the laptop’s since OLPC hasn’t started mailing them to Amazon. The email sent out by Amazon UK to OLPC donors follows:

Dear Donor:

The following order, placed on 17-Nov-2008 with One Laptop per Child, will be canceled if the order is not ship-confirmed by 19/12/08. (Merchants on Amazon must ship products within 30 days from the date when the order was placed; otherwise, the order is automatically canceled.)
