With the $100,000 Startup Challenge heading off to its final showdown, Amazon has rolled out its list of seven finalists. This prize is set to go for the most creative and useful startup that has been built upon the Amazon’s cloud infrastructure. With the winner set to get $50,000 in cash and another $50,000 in AWS credits, all the finalists will be eager and praying for this. The finalists named are:

  • Zephyr: An online platform for software quality testing.
  • Knewton: An online test preparation service (SAT, GMAT and the likes).
  • Pixily: A service that provides document management.
  • Encoding.com: A service that performs video encoding over cloud.
  • Sonian: An online archiving and indexing service for email for companies.
  • MedCommons: An online Health service for both doctors and patients.
  • Yieldex: An online tool for optimizing ads.
