Amazon has made a pretty important acquisition, as it grabbed Lexcycle, the e-reader along with Stanza its popular iPhone app. Stanza has been tipped as the Kindle for iPhone, given that it became hugely popular after coming to the app store. Stanza had existed as a desktop app and a book store, but it’s the app that had it achieve the present success. Despite Lexcycle’s founders denial of Stanza being a Kindle for the iPhone, the app has been labeled that by many. I guess, with e-books gaining momentum, Amazon is perhaps desirous of making its stronghold in this section. I might be wrong too.
