Alien Technology Corp. of Morgan Hill, Calif., has raised another $40 million in its ninth round of venture funding. The raised money will increase the company’s funding to a whooping fund of $ 302 million.
Alien Technology is a 14 years old mobile company that sells UHF Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) products and services.
In a capital call form to investors, Advanced Equities Capital Partners told that the participation in a funding round will serve their best interest as the company is,
“is structured to provide significant benefits to shareholders that purchase their pro rata shares of the Financing (including an effective reprising of all of the [Advanced Equities’] equity securities of Alien to $1.00 per share).�
The company has already raised $33 million fundings last year. ABI Research, headquartered in Oyster Bay, New York, predicts that the revenues might hit nearly $8 billion in the next few months.
