Adisn, the social data-using ad company, raised $1.6 million in venture funding from Battery Ventures and Angel investors. Adisn is putting the brains to use by using aggregated web conversations, online profiles, blogs, and variable user behaviors to figure out and manipulate (read analyze) the most meaningful relationships between millions of seemingly unrelated topics. Thereafter, making use of this information as their strategy, to target ads that are relevant to users and which don’t go waste.
Of Late, venture investors are putting their money into companies that use target ads through social data, as Adisn does.
Adisn does sound like it’s making some interesting breakthroughs for itself and the advertising world, but the thing is that there are hundreds of ad networks out there, ranging from leaders like the Advertising.com to tiny startups – who claim to offer solutions, targeting various types of user data.
Still, let’s wait and see what Adisn has to offer the ad-world.
