Acer has now captured 38.3 percent of the netbook market by selling 2.15 million Aspire One netbooks in the third quarter of 2008, as compared to ASUS, which sold 1.7 million of its ASUS Eee PC thereby grabbing 30.3 percent of the netbooks market. In addition to this Aspire One would be selling XP-loaded netbooks for merely $299 at Best Buy.
