CMDA iPhone 4 From Verizon Sales Go Live February 10!

As expected Verizon Wireless has finally announced the iPhone 4 on Americas largest wireless network. This was put forth by Lowell McAdam, President and COO of Verizon Wireless, yesterday at the NYC event.

The idea of bringing the iPhone beyond the confines of AT&T would definitely boost the iPhone sales further in the US region and give consumers a chance to rid themselves of complains against AT&T. The Verizon iPhone 4 has nothing new in terms of features. The CDMA based iPhone 4 will have a 5 megapixel camera, HD Video recording, FaceTime, A4 processor. Verizon Wireless will open pre orders for the iPhone 4 on February 3. The sales will be live February 10 onwards.

Verizon iPhone 4 Confirmed To Release On Tuesday, 1/1/11

It has been confirmed that Verizon Wireless will be releasing the iPhone 4 at the Verizon Event scheduled for Tuesday, January 11, 2011. This finally makes the earlier rumor true and we will finally have an iPhone that is not strangled to AT&T.

We reported a week back about the iPhone Dev Team releasing its Redsn0w 0.9.7 earlier and we also mentioned a step by step guide on how to jailbreak your iOS devices with the same. The Dev Team has released the beta 8 of the Redsn0w jailbreak tool.

The update made to Redsn0w is minor and the release candidate provides notifications to those using a custom untethered boot logo image for any .png file that is invalid. I bet the Redsn0w will eventually have all its errors fixed and users will be able to utilize all functions using the Redsn0w jailbreak tool on their iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad. Not exactly sure if this would work on the rumored iPad 2?

I am seriously disappointed with myself for missing out the CES 2011, laziness, sleep and by the time I woke up all important news was out. But I bet no one is interested in my personal story. The big news, Google has officially put up the Android 3.0 aka Honeycomb video online after it accidently posted the Honeycomb sneak peak video on YouTube. The video was immediately pulled off, but even immediate proved too much for the folks to record it spread the word out. That being said, there wasn’t really a point in Google keeping it a secret.
