Redlasso the site that lets users to search Radio and TV broadcasts has raised $1.25 Million of the $2 Million round of funding. The round was led by a local real estate exec, Daniel Keating III and was participated by previous investors Guggenheim Venture Partners and Osage Ventures. With the current, the startup heads closer to the break even point.

Facebook is set to launch Live Stream Box, a feature that would enable live video and chat area on Facebook pages. And guess who’s joining hands to make that possible? UStream, as it provides selected Facebook users with the ability to broadcast live video. This had been tested back one month and seeing its popularity, Facebook and UStream decided to capitalize on the growing need. And why wont it? As people spend more time on social networking sites, it’s only a matter of time before such functionality will be made available across all major social networks and the leader will obviously be the early adopter.
Professional networking site, LinkedIn has got itself a new CEO as Jeff Weiner replaced Reid Hoffman its founding CEO. Reid Hoffman ha taken over the CEO position from Dan Nye, who stepped down from the position after holding it for two years. Jeff Weiner was a former Yahoo exec who left it last year to join LinkedIn as the company’s president. Jeff had left Yahoo as it went through troubles last year and his move to join LinkedIn has proven to be more than fruitful as LinkedIn continues to expand.
