It appears offering unlimited storage for $59 a year didn’t prove enough to keep HP Upline running, as it pulled down the shutters. The service wasn’t that pretty as it never really provided the smoothness one needs for online backup and I guess it was just waiting for the right time to breath its last. Users can download their data till March 31 and would refund its users all fee that had been paid by them.
After facing quite a lot of agitation against its terms of service and failure to calm its users down, Facebook appears to be giving users a chance to give their input on the TOS. This would let users give their suggestions on the new terms an the changes that are to occur, making them feel more important players in making Facebook the leading social network. It has posted Facebook Principles and members can each voice their opinions in two groups. The principles sound better to read as they are less dictatorial:
Hyper9 has raised $8 million in Series B funding. The round was led by Venrock, joined by returning Matrix Partners, Maples Investments and Silverton Partners. The service provides services to help leverage various Internet technologies like search, collaboration and social networking. CEO and founder of Hyper9, Chris Ostertag stated in a release:

Google Friend Connect is now integrated to its blogging service, Blogger.This means users can easily follow/subscribe to the blog with their Google, OpenID or Yahoo accounts. The integration is going to turn the blog publishing service into more of a social network and not to forget an easy too to see what blogs are being followed by your contacts as each that they follow appears on their profile. FamilyLink, a social networking site for families raised $2.85 million in Series B. The funding was provided by return backers, vSpring Capital and TTP Capital Advisors. The company has various apps running on other social networks, including Facebook, MySpace, etc. CEO Paul B. Allen Stated:
