If you are one of those concerned about knowing who has blocked you on in your FriendFeed Network then ffblockr is what you are looking for. No I am not marketing this stuff for any benefits in return but I know people who would spend hours worrying who blocked them. All that the service needs is your login information with a promise of never storing it along with an email where it can send you the report. Plus it also displays your name on the homepage if you are on the top 5 of the block list, talk about getting publicity.

It hasn’t been a ages when Kindle 2 made its way out to the public when reports leak in of Kindle 3. This new Kindle will have 8.5″ by 11″ display and is perhaps a part of Amazon’s plan to bring out larger versions of its ebook reader. Touchscreen, bigger display, etc with that gray screen,if this is what it’s going to be, it doesn’t appeal much to me.
Alright I have never denied that iPhone is one of the best devices ever created and that anyone will pay $200 if one has them. But just take a look at the image above and tell me what’s the highest you’ll pay for it? Forget your choice or anyone else’s, that one’s going to cost you $2.5 million, why? 160 diamonds, a 6.6 carat diamond as the home button, welcome iPhone 3, King Mod. Am I publicizing this one? Not at all, the only reason I would like to warn you not to do so and if someone does, kindly inform our friends at Gizmodo, they have something to honor you with.
While it might have been facing an uprising against its Terms of Service or giving its users a chance to share their opinion on Facebook Principles, there’s no stopping its growth. In an interview today with MSNBC’s Today Show, Mark Zuckerberg its founder stated that the leading social network is currently growing by a million users each week in the US. Facebook has taken the social networking by storm and the best thing making it stand out from the rest in the scene is the interactivity it provides along with privacy to its users. Even Zuckerberg hadn’t thought of Facebook growing so massive when he launched the network in 2004.
Facebook has announced its partnership with DEMO to cover the event live beginning March 2 in San Francisco. This would feature Live Video feed using Facebook’s Live feed widget as well as DEMOChatter, featuring updates via Twitter. There has been a boom in Facebook’s Live feed activity recently and has made information available from such events. Whether you are there attending the DEMO and spreading the word using it or at work, the news is just one Facebook login away.
The New York Times is finally making a move into the Blogosphere with its first blog project. It will primarily feature content from its print editors along with some contribution from citizens as well. These citizen journalist will have no limits as they will be able to post their usual content from videos to announcements for events. I think it’s a clever move given the stall in online advertising and the fall in number of visitors and might actually prove beneficial for the paper itself. It had already been syndicating content from various blogs.
Gmail might have been creating all sorts of problems by being down for a long time but it has added another useful feature; uploading multiple attachments at once. Just hit attach files and from there select multiple files with CTRL pressed (CMD on mac) and Gmail uploads them. It has come late, but I love having it as much I loved Gmail going offline.
Qualcomm has brought Digital Fountain, an IPTV and mobile video tech provider. Digital Fountain had initiated its journey by first providing defense agencies with its technology. The deal involved purchase of assets and Qualcomm will keep seven of its key engineers and the team will be led by its founder and CTO, Mike Luby.
The European Web 2.0 Expo held annually in Berlin, Germany has been pulled off owing to recession. It had been held for two years as a joint venture between O’Reilly Media and TechWeb. The event provided the European tech population a platform to share and learn from prominent speakers and individuals in the business. Sounds pretty sad and I hope the people behind it put out a better show in the coming year.
News is in the wild that Digg is perhaps thinking about imitating Stumbleupon toolbar and bringing out it own. Means that users will get to use Digg directly from their toolbar with options like Digg, Bury, share, etc. However the Random option makes it a ditto of the one we have in the Stumbleupon toolbar (Stumble). I haven’t seen it myself and I bet developers just put it out for a random test. It isn’t exactly a toolbar, but rather a frame across your entire page, meaning that it wont be sticking in your browser and you can get rid of it by simply hitting the cross (X). I might enjoy Digging more if this is put out for I greatly dislike its existing toolbar.
