Video games have been around quite a while, providing entertainment for some whereas working like a simulator in trainings for others. Programs similar to games come in handy with training doctors/surgeons – in reducing error rate in practice, U.S. Army – for helping with recruitment, airplane pilots – with flying, etc.
One such ground-breaking use of video games in business was taken by Burger King in 2006. The popular fast food brand released three packaged games to promote themselves – the games contained characters from the company’s brand and the promotion succeeded beyond expectations. Taking note from this McDonald’s joined in the competition and launched an online happy meal where children can play games, create avatars and more entertaining stuff.

The startup is great for workgroups, and is free for up to three people with 50MB of storage space. The rest have to pay $8 a month (small groups) where additional fees for extra storage also comes in. You can also have add-ons on the API which will cost below $10 a month. One of the founders, Michael Levinson states:
Minimum Noise is going to take a shot at crowd-sourcing music production. The startup hopes to conquer this through connecting musicians (worldwide) together on one platform and enabling them to create music tracks. Through this musicians would be able to submit their required project, adding the details of budget and needs.
Several reports have been coming in about music labels teaming up to counter YouTube’s supremacy, through another similar streaming channel. Hulu has been opinionated by most as being able to match up to YouTube’s service, if spiced up further – adding to that Hulu is considered better amongst advertisers. It is also possible for music labels to team up and venture into a service of their own, though I doubt that happening.
First Windows now Zune, Microsoft is really having bad times as seems that a random bug is affecting a bunch, if not every, 30GB Zunes.
The problem was escalated via Fan boards
and support forums
this morning. The bug is allegedly stated to be resetting the Zunes on their own and if rebooted they don’t fully reboot.
