evitelogo Get to the ‘Evite Party’ via ‘Voice Activated Text’Evite, is an event planning service that let users know about the details of the event(s) on their cell phone. It is a great way to get yourself updated about the latest events. Now it has included a voice activated directions service (now you have to be at the party on time, no excuses).

To use the feature, you don’t need any kind of registration or GPS, all you need to have is a cell phone. If you are a guest, you  just have to go to the Evite event details text message and click on the ‘directions’ link. Once done, the voice activated service will be launched. After that just say the start of address/intersection and get the driving directions from the service through SMS, now that is cool, isn’t it?

image228 SimpleWeather: Weather only, nothing else I have avoided using sites and services offering weather reporting primarily to the fact that they flood out a whole lot of useless information that ranges from super loaded maps, forecasts for travel and crap when all a user needs is a simple weather report.

SimpleWeather is as simple as the name sounds with nothing that takes you away from the track of knowing what the day is going to be like in your locality. All this or should I say only this by entering the zip code for the city you need to find the forecast. Hosted by Media Temple, the service generates the weather information from data provided by CustomWeather Inc.

youtube2 YouTube offers advertisers space: Eyes cash at last!YouTube has been dominant in the online Video business but somehow it hasn’t capitalized on this value it has; we are talking about monetizing and minting cash on its present value, putting to use the gargantuan userbase it has to generate revenue. It has somehow realized what it had been missing all this time and in a bid to overcome all this YouTube now appears different.

Different doesn’t mean we are talking about a change in layout, but seeing (finally) some sponsors making it up with their ads. Google had been trying to squeeze out some cash by putting up ads in the videos being watch (start, middle, end and where not) but the idea of giving space to sponsors on the homepage makes revenue generation easier and worth while.

meglobelogo Multi Language Instant Messenger ‘MeGlobe’ gets betterMeGlobe is a multi-language instant messenger which lets users from various language backgrounds to chat with each other. We reviewed the startup couple of months ago. The idea of providing the instant messenger in various languages is great as it is innovative. Though the idea was great, we pointed out some flaws in the website, most of them are now fixed.

Earlier you couldn’t update snap on your profile, now you can do it easily and the best thing about it is that the snap is uploaded instantly. The size of the photo which can be uploaded is 100 kb. Google AdSense which were appearing at the bottom of the site, have been removed and now the messenger is more visible. A drop-down menu, which we suggested earlier, has been added in the searching section making it more feasible.
