image thumb92 Google says there will be no Sex in your Virtual Life Oh Poor Joe!!

Mark Rizzn Hopkins argues that the Internet is built on two cornerstones: sex and hate. According to Mark "You’ll have griefers anywhere there’s a group of people, and if there’s anywhere that creativity’s encouraged, folks will use that creativity to come up with new ways to talk about, view, or engage in virtual sex."

I however would disagree with it, I think that not just the Internet, our entire society is built on two cornerstones, sex and greed (this is what you call money too). This is not something that we our generation has defined, it has been this way since the beginning of civilization.

jerry miicrosoft icahn thumb Yang to Icahn, Microsoft: ‘I will never leave Yahoo!’

The stage has been set, the teams made up on; one side we have ‘Fire Yang’ Icahn and ‘Ball me’ Ballmer against the one man; the father of all trouble for them both; ‘I wont Quit’ Yang. That’s exactly how the scene has been set and Jerry Yang is continually making headlines; yesterday it was his firing at WSJ and today he was off with Kara Swisher’s Boomtown. What is Jerry up to? Or to be more precise what does Icahn want with his jib jab, a Kung-fu kick? Martial arts is none of our concern but the most recent Yangy words speak at drilling Icahn-Microsoft team a million holes.

He keeps juggling these words in response to all that Icahn or Microsoft comes out with; perhaps the three have taken up a default sentence to hurl whenever one of them makes a news break and why not? Default is Power isn’t it?

image thumb90 Voice Powered Notepad for iPhone

Jott for iPhone is the ultimate mobile notepad that turns your voice into notes. Just tap the record screen and leave a note with your voice, Jott will then turn that note into text and add it to your Jott notepad or any of your lists. To get the same satisfaction of completing something on a paper list, cross off any item by swiping your finger across it on your Jott list. No matter where you are, now adding something to your notepad is as quick and easy as saying “Get strawberries for dessert.

What Jott basically does it that it’s fulfilling a gap in iPhone’s features. Every phone nowadays has an option to record and take short notes, but sadly or shockingly this isn’t in the default features of the iPhone. Luckily this App is available as a free download. With Jott, note taking is taken a step further, as the voice notes are converted to text which can then be used to email anyone. The notes can be backed up and synced with the server. It also provides organizational features for your notes which can be made into lists and prioritized.

image thumb88 Shazam for iPhone is like TrackID for Sony Ericsson

Shazam is another iPhone application. This application provide you with features that can make your iPhone beat Sony Ericsson Walkman phones on any day. For those of you who know about Sony Ericsson Walkman phones, you’d know that they come with a TrackID feature. That is exactly what Shazam does but takes it one step further by providing more rich features.

For those of you who do not know what TrackID is, it’s a free music recognition service which records a short music clip from the FM radio or an external music source and send it to servers over the internet, to provide you with the song title, artist and album name. Shazam lets you identify music in the same way, but with it, you can also build your own soundtrack ( we have no idea how that’s possible ! ), it will link you to the iTunes store to the recognized track, and also show you related music videos to the queried music! ( we think this is the killer feature Shazam! ). It also lets you tag music, even with photos, and to share track details with a friend.
