Classified listing service is up at the Walmart site, powered by Oodle.
The classified provides listings for free; meaning that Walmart has done this to generate page views and advertising impressions and at the same time getting into a competition with Craiglist and eBay owned Kijiji.
Walmart enjoys mix repute on the web, attracting 26 million unique visitors daily, which second Amazon with 47 million.
The site adds something new to the Walmart online armoury and not to forget that fact that the deal would help Oodle to compete Kijiji that according to comScore, has passed the 2 million unique visitors mark in April, compared to Oodle’s 1.3 million. Both trail Craiglist that leads the way with 30 million unique visitors.
