Chilirec is an online radio recording service. It allows you to record your favourite music from hundreds of different channels.
You can discover new music. Searching is very easy as you have the option to search through artist, title, genre or all.
Another good thing is that the files are saved online so you don’t have to increase storage capacity of your system.
You can create your own playlist which can be stored online. You can see your recordings through ‘History’ option in the navigator.
Other than recording, you can also listen to the music. You can save personal copy on your disk, iPod or any other device.
If you have recorded a lot of music, you can search in your directory as well.
When you start the recorder, you have to wait for 5 minutes until you start recording. After 2 days of your visit, you will be able to see the ‘Toplist’ which will display a list of songs most frequently played on the radio.

This new service seems a nice idea (as you don’t have to worry about the storage on your system), but what if your Internet is down at some point? You won’t be able to listen anything. Relying only on Internet is not such a good idea. On the other hand if you are on the go or on vacations, you don’t have to cater your storage device with you, all you require is a good Internet connection to play your favourite music.
Chilirec is currently running its beta version but they have done an excellent job with their service. English and Swedish are the two languages supported currently. Probably we will see more fascinating stuff in their final version.
