StumbleUpon, a premier social news site has launched a redesigned homepage to look more like a socially driven news and content site. Together with the redesign has come increased usability and host of new features like:

  • Del.icio.us like section that shows the recently popular sites.
  • “Recent Stumblers” section that shows the people who stumbled recently.
  • Most Popular Topics section
  • Classic Testimonial section.

The re design clearly brings more focus and purpose to the site and cuts the confusion that users got stuck with on the main page. StumbleUpon has more than 2 million registered users and with time and aggregation of content has become really sticky. Another good aspect of the service is the fact that it can not be easily spammed. Something that Digg is fighting hard against.
