With the state of the cell phones loaded with a countless apps to make them more useful than just communication devices, the masses have readily migrating towards them. Reports state that if such are to continue at the same rate, 20% of the US population would say goodbye to their landlines in the coming year. As many as 18% of the country’s households already have no landline. However that shouldn’t sound alarmingly dangerous to service providers (Verizon, AT&T) as the loss in landline users would eventually see them use their wireless one.
